Commodity Shippers & Receivers

With a new airport being proposed for the island of St Helena in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean where all passenger and freight traffic was being undertaken by a single vessel, IPC worked in close consultation with a number of freight forwarding and shipping organisations to identify replacement vessels suitable for transporting the wide range and types of cargo that would still be required to be shipped by sea after the introduction of the airport.

At the Port of Rijeka, an IPC consultant provided advice on the handling methods and cargo storage facilities at the port, resulting in more efficient methods of storing timber in covered warehouses.  A review of steel product handling equipment was made also within the port operations.

Dry bulk commodities often experience handling issues with dust emission during conveying or vessel operations.  IPC consultants have wide experience in handling of bulk commodities and have specialised in solutions for the virtual elimination of dust created in all type of handling operations.
